Orthodontics in Yalesville

The New Haven County Dentist for All Your Oral Needs

The first step in your orthodontic journey is scheduling an appointment with a member of our team. When you come into Forrester Dental, we’ll sit down and discuss the options available to you along with their associated costs.

Orthodontic treatments can help address:

  • Jaw pain
  • Gapped teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Misaligned bites
  • Overcrowded teeth

Orthodontists have the specific training and experience necessary to provide counsel and treatment for correcting irregularities in the teeth and jaw.

Choosing the Right Treatment for You

With the vast options provided by modern orthodontics, there is no longer an ideal age to receive treatment. A straighter, more uniform smile is within reach for all ages. As long as the patient is willing to properly follow the guidelines of whichever treatment they choose, effective results are readily available.

The three most common types of treatments are:

  • Metal braces – Metal brackets are adhered to the teeth and connected with a thin wire which is used to gradually straighten teeth and correct issues with bite. It is a reliable option, most common in children and teens.
  • Invisalign® – A series of clear aligners used to guide the teeth into place. It is virtually invisible and best suited for adults, as the removable trays require disciplined use to achieve the most effective results.
  • Lingual braces – Braces attached to the inside of your teeth rather than the front. They are a truly invisible option popular with adults but rarely seen in children.
